It was a tough finish in race 2 for the Sanitec team. Listen to the post-race audio report below.
William fought hard in the #7 car but was pushed off the pace to a 14th place finish while teammate Matt Halliday in the #8 car dropped back to 9th place, losing his entire side mirror in the process.
One great finish, one not great finish, and the weekend result comes in OK!

Positions 12-15 are separated by only 6/10ths of a second, and William enters the qualifying round in position 15 tomorrow.
Will checked in yesterday from Dohar, Qatar on route to Abu Dhabi, where they are preparing for the first-ever PMSC race at Yas Marina Circuit and the final race of the 2009 season.
It's a challenging environment of change with the weather at 86F (30 degrees celsius) and a shift in time zone (EST +8 hours).

It was a hot Sunday in Monza, and despite skilled driving Will remains in position 12 at the finish line.
On to Abu Dhabi, where temperatures currently exceed 100F, 37C.
It's the last European race of the season before moving on to Abu Dhabi.
Will was off to a great start, placing 10th in the free practice, but after narrowing avoiding a crash in front of him during qualifying he is forced out of position.
It's a 12th place finish moving out of qualifying and into the final race tomorrow.
In the final race at Spa Will isn't happy with the handling of the car, so he keeps a steady pace and comes in at position 11.
Will hoped for the top ten, but after a couple mistakes and pushing a bit too hard in the Eau Rouge he takes twelth place after qualifying.
The drivers were pre-warned by the PMSC race director; it's a contested decision for the top position contenders after one car leaves the track.
It's a tricky track, and any driver who shortcuts the track beyond the white line will have his time cancelled. This rule is reiterated by PMSC officials during a drivers' meeting before practice.
In this course, with its world-famous bends and curves, precision is important.
Changes to the car and the team have made William more comfortable, paying off with an 8th place finish in the qualifying round.

With a fresh new design and coat of paint, Sanitec #7 is off to a great start!

Washington, DC - On Sunday, July 26, three young Hungarian boys had the chance to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix race and watch the Porsche Supercup from a VIP box. They got to meet a real international race car driver and even walk down to the pit to see the car up close. An opportunity like this does not come along often for anyone, let alone these young boys.
The boys participate in programs run by the Tudor Foundation, a GFC grantee partner in Hungary that works with gifted youth who do not have the means to develop their abilities or continue their education past the primary years. Tudor’s workshops help children build self-confidence, gain critical-thinking skills, and begin to set goals and form aspirations for the future. These boys were the lucky recipients of a prize for winning a competition put together by the Tudor Foundation.
This special opportunity for the boys was set up by GFC’s new partner, Porsche Supercup and the Sanitec racing team. Will Langhorne, the team’s captain and driver from the United States, spent time walking through the Porsche Supercup paddock with the boys, talking about his life and inspiring them to dream big.
In Budapest, William and Sanitec sponsored a very special event for local children.
“Together with my partner SANITEC, the Global Fund for Children and the National Child Relief organizations we try to give our young visitors a very special day at a motosports weekend to to take them out of their everyday and sometimes difficult lives”, says PMSC driver Will Langhorne when he arrived in the paddock on Saturday morning. For almost two hours he makes time for his young visitors. "The children will have a walk through the paddock and then they will visit me in the starting grid for the qualifying session. Later on the kids will watch Saturday's sessions of the Formula 1.”

Despite a situation with his tires, William manages to gain on a course where moving up is virtually impossible.
It's a 10th place finish for the American!
Pushing hard, William just misses a top ten finish in qualifying.
He starts the race tomorrow in 12th position.
Team Sanitec gave their #8 car a sleek makeover, debuting at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Driven previously by Christian Engelhart and Luigi Ferrara, guest driver Isaac Tutumlu Lopez will be behind the wheel for this race.
Just outside Budapest, racing at the Hungaroring requires tires that can endure the high summer temperature as well as a strong qualifying finish, since the narrow circuit makes it difficult to overtake others during the race.

It is a 15th place finish for the #7 Sanitec car, as Will fought for position and just couldn't gain enough ground.
...and the European Grand Prix moves to Budapest.
After some fast segments in the free practice Will finishes 12th, hoping to put it all together into a fast qualifying tomorrow.
Post-race buzz from Silverstone is that contact during the race disconnected a brake line in the #7 car. Luckily Will avoided any major collisions.
After spending two days testing in Germany at the beginning of the month, the Sanitec team has arrived in Frankfurt and is preparing for the hilly, demanding track of Nurburgring for the German Grand Prix.
It's a disappointing end to Silverstone for Will and the Sanitec Racing Team.
Will reports from overseas:
"It's something specific to this car. Ultimately the speed in this car depends on me completely changing driving style, and I will double my efforts, come back for testing next week."
The weekend ends with frustration for Will, though he managed to move into 11th place and finish up a couple spots from qualifying.
The car still isn't 100% optimized, and with his placement in the qualifying Will needs to drive hard tomorrow to grab some points.
It was a rough practice in Istanbul, and despite Will pushing at the end it just wasn't happening- the tires were done.
We all hope for a better ride in qualifying tomorrow.
After a smooth, successful race through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo- no crashing, no damage, no mishaps- Will takes 13th place out of 23 drivers in the Monaco Grand Prix.

On to the highly-demanding course of Istanbul, Turkey...
The Monaco Grand Prix is structured differently from most races.
Practice is Thursday, Qualifying Friday & the drivers get a day off on Saturday.
William reports that he is energized and excited to race tomorrow!
